Van Specifications:
  • Cage module consist of a two-tiered unit providing 9 cage compartments.
  • The upper tier has two fixed and two removable partitions, positioned to provide (with removable partitions in place) five compartments, three approximately 19" wide and two approximately 24" wide. The lower tier has one fixed and two removable partitions, positioned to provide two compartments 29" wide and two compartments 24" wide partitions in place and/or one compartment 58" wide and one compartment 48" wide with the partitions removed. Removable partitions are 18-gauge stainless steel sheet. Fixed partitions are 20-gauge stainless steel sheet.
  • There are four 22-gauge stainless steel waste pans, two for the upper tier and two for the lower tier. The pans are sloped to drain to the center and to the rear, through the floor of the van. Drains are 3" PVC.
  • There are ten removable doors, one for each compartment, plus an extra door at the rear of the lower compartment for access from the rear of the van.
  • Cage doors have 3/8" diameter perimeter frames with 1/4" diameter vertical rods on 1-1/4" centers. Electro-polished cage doors have a self-locking latch design which automatically locks the upper and lower door area when the cage door is closed. This feature provides added security for the animal and the animal care professional.
  • Cage structure consists of 1" square by 18-gauge stainless steel tube with 24-gauge stainless steel sheet top, sides, and back. Intermediate and bottom support members are formed 16-gauge stainless steel sheet.
  • Cages are factory-installed with stainless steel hardware and sealed watertight to the ceiling, bulkhead and floor areas.
  • The floor in the rear compartment of the van is covered with .125 thick aluminum diamond pattern plate and provides a long-wearing slip-resistant surface.
  • The cab of the vehicle is separated from the cage area by a 1/8" thick aluminum bulkhead panel. This panel is factory-sealed to the upper, lower, and side panels of the vehicle interior. The forward side of the bulkhead panel is marine grade carpeted for appearance and to reduce noise transmission. The bulkhead has a fixed safety glass window 12" high by 18" wide and framed in aluminum.
  • There are two 7" diameter lights installed in the upper inside of the animal area for superior visibility of cage interiors. Lights can be activated by switches located in either the cab of the vehicle or the animal area.
  • Stainless steel is Type 304 with glass bead blasted finish, unless otherwise noted.
